Can I use a playpen for a cage for a rabbit?
Istead of getting a rabbit cage/hutch, couldn’t I set up a playpen in my room? It would give the rabbit more room, and I would put a piece of fleece liner down on the floor. I’ll be potty-training the rabbit, or adopting one that already is. Yes. Pens are great rabbit cages. I have that cage and when you put it in a square it is 3ft by 3ft which is much bigger than lots of pet store cages. Here are some examples of using a play pen for a cage.

Rabbits don’t need nest boxes unless they are about to have babies. Most rabbits prefer to lay on cold things. My rabbits will lay over the air vent when the air conditioning is on and they also like to lay on ceramic plates.
